Arts PGT Skills Programme

The Arts PGT Skills Programme helps you build the core skills for success at master’s level. Through interactive workshops and resources, you’ll learn how to read and research effectively, develop your scholarly voice, strengthen your arguments, and write with clarity and confidence. The programme also introduces key sources of support and academic resources available across campus. The programme is open to all postgraduate taught students in the Arts. No need to book - just come along!

Further Support & Resources

The Arts PGT Network is here to help you make the most of your postgraduate year — connecting you with other Arts students for support, collaboration, and community. We run professional, academic, and social events throughout the year, from writing sessions to film nights and wellbeing walks. Whatever you’re looking for — friends, advice, or a place to belong — the Network is here for you.

Bring along sections of your essays or dissertation to The Writing Lab Drop-In Sessions. Whether you want feedback on a paragraph, help refining your argument, or tips on structure and clarity, these friendly sessions offer personalised support at any stage of your writing. Open to all Arts postgraduates - no booking needed.
