Film making - using
 simple tools and techniques

About this session

Date: Wednesday 22nd January 2025, 12.15-1.15 (FAB Media Symposium Space)

Presenters: Dr Robert O'Toole and Youn Affejee

Main follow-up contact: Robert O'Toole

Overview: Phones (Android and Apple) have amazing cameras, and increasingly good mics. Good editing software is available for free. Add to that some simple tricks, and perhaps also some cheap additional tools, and we have almost everything needed to make amazing films. The last essential ingredient is inspiration - we will provide that in the session. We will look at how we can use simple planning and design tools, combined with phones and editing software, and inspiration from the movies and from great arts and humanities documentaries.
