Presenters: Chris Houghton (Gale)

Overview: Gale is a global leader in education, learning and research resources online. It provides a vast digital archive of primary sources (digitised using advanced OCR techniques), research databases, reference books (both eBook and print), and more. Use the Digital Scholar Lab web application to search primary source archives in their collections (assemble your corpus), analyse your corpus with easy to use visual tools, export documents and download visualisations. Do this on your own or collaboratively with other Warwick researchers.
At Warwick, you have access to a wide range of digital archives from Gale, including historical newspapers (The Times, The TelegraphLink opens in a new window, The EconomistLink opens in a new window, British Library NewspapersLink opens in a new window) and collections of monographs (Eighteenth-Century Collections OnlineLink opens in a new window).
In this presentation, Chris gives an overview of what you can do with the Lab and how to use its tools.
