Composite calendar

This is a composite calendar page template pulling in feeds from events calendars in department and research centre sites. It is purely used as a tool to collect the event details before filtering through to a publicly-visible calendar filter page template. To remove or add a feed to this composite calendar, please contact the IT Services Web Team (webteam at warwick dot ac dot uk).

How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Postgraduate Virtual Open Event

We are delighted to announce that the Department of Classics and Ancient History are holding a virtual postgraduate event on Monday 14th March 2022. We are holding online sessions presenting our Masters degrees, as well as doctoral (PhD) study.

Doctoral (PhD) Study in Classics and Ancient History
Monday 14th March, 2pm - 3pm

The department of Classics and Ancient History has research expertise in Greek and Latin literature, ancient Greek drama, numismatics, the medical humanities and Greco-Arabic studies, epigraphy, ancient space, as well as Greek and Roman history and material culture more broadly. The department has a lively research environment, with weekly seminars and training activities during term time and conferences throughout the year. This session will cover the application process, including developing a thesis topic, life as a doctoral student at Warwick, and the funding opportunities available. A current student will also present their experience; the presentation will be followed by a Q/A.

Masters Degrees in Classics and Ancient History
Monday 14th March, 3pm - 4pm

The session will provide an overview of our two Taught Masters programmes - Ancient Visual and Material Culture, and Ancient Literature and Thought - as well as our masters by research degrees. We will discuss course content, opportunities for study abroad, offer a student perspective and discuss funding opportunities available. The presentation will be followed by a Q/A.

If you are interested in attending one of the sessions please register here. Once you have registered, you will receive a booking confirmation that will welcome you onto our Virtual Open Days platform. From this link, you’ll be able to book your virtual seat using the chair symbol next to each session, join your chosen talk(s) or watch any of our recordings back.
