Arts Faculty URSS Sessions

Support sessions 25-26

The Faculty of Arts DSEP team has collaboratively planned two sessions to support Arts undergraduate students' application for the URSS projects 2025-2026.

Session 1: Getting Started and Finding a Supervisor

Are you thinking about applying for the Undergraduate Research Support Scheme (URSS)? Join this session to learn what the scheme offers, how to apply, and how to get started with your research idea. We’ll cover eligibility, timelines, and tips for identifying and approaching a potential supervisor. This session is ideal for students who are new to the URSS or still exploring possible research directions.

Session 2: Developing Your Proposal

Ready to turn your idea into a strong URSS proposal? This practical session will guide you through writing a compelling research plan, articulating your aims and methods, and demonstrating the impact of your project. We’ll also discuss the benefits of engaging in undergraduate research for your academic and professional development. Bring your ideas, whether they’re fully formed or still developing, and get feedback to strengthen your application.
