How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Widening Participation Staff and Student Conference - Student Voice: A WP Perspective
Westwood Teaching Centre

The Widening Participation Student and Staff Network’s present…

Student Voice: A Widening Participation Perspective

Wednesday 8th March (9.15am – 3.15pm) – Westwood Teaching Centre

This free one-day event will take place at the University of Warwick and will be focused around exploring Student Voice from a widening participation perspective. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students from a Widening Participation background to engage with staff, and fellow students, share experiences and views, whilst also getting to take part in a mix of staff and student led sessions.

This year, there are a wide range of workshops and sessions delivered by students and staff from across the university, including:

  • 'What is 'student voice' and how can it be used by universities in a non-exploitative way?'
  • ‘Co-creation, gamification and student engagement’
  • ‘A journey from Young People's experience to practical action’
  • And many more!

This collaborative event has been designed and will be delivered by students and staff at Warwick. Students will have the opportunity to discuss ideas and thoughts about new and interesting ways to share the student voice and have a positive impact.

Please see below some feedback we had from attendees of last year’s conference where the focus was around sense of belonging:

‘The conference reflected an amazing sense of community. I both learnt and shared a lot throughout the day/hearing thoughts from a staff members perspective was eye-opening and the speakers were amazing.’

‘I thought it was great to bring student and staff voices together in a safe and supported space. It was a great opportunity to pause and take stock of the needs of others, which I think perhaps we forget to do when the day-to-demands are ever-growing.’

 The details are as follows:

Date: Wednesday 8th March 2023

Time: 9.30am to 3.15pm (you are welcome to take part in some of the day or stay all day)

Location: Westwood Teaching Centre, University of Warwick

Lunch provided!
