Arts Student Networks
The Faculty of Arts is proud to support a range of student networks, operating both at faculty and departmental levels. These networks celebrate and amplify the diverse experiences of our student community, offering spaces for connection, support, and advocacy. These pages offer an overview of the networks' aims, activities, and events, along with details on how you can get involved. Whether you're looking to connect with others, share your voice, or find support, there’s a network here for you.
Arts PGT Network
The Arts PGT Network aims to create an inclusive and collaborative community for postgraduate taught students in the Faculty of Arts. We aim to create a supportive space where students can connect, share experiences, and grow both academically and professionally.
BAME Networks
The Faculty’s Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) student networks and Faculty Forum build community, visibility, and solidarity among racially minoritised students in the Faculty of Arts. We aim to create a space to connect, share experiences, and drive meaningful change together.
Disabled & Neurodiverse Networks
The Faculty’s Disabled and Neurodiverse student networks and Faculty Forum champion accessibility, inclusion, and representation for disabled and neurodivergent students. We aim to create a supportive space that recognises and celebrates all forms of disability and difference.
LGBTQUIA+ Networks
The Faculty's LGBTQUIA+ student networks and Faculty Forum advocate for inclusivity, representation and community for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and personal expressions. We aim to create a celebratory space for all queer people to feel empowered.
Mature & Part-Time Students in the Arts
The Mature and Part-Time Students in the Arts group fosters connection, visibility, and support for mature and part-time students across the Faculty of Arts. We aim to create an inclusive space that values diverse life experiences and helps students thrive both socially and academically.
Widening Participation Networks
The Faculty’s Widening Participation student networks and Faculty Forum build community, amplify voices, and address barriers faced by students from widening participation backgrounds. We aim to create an inclusive space where all students feel seen, supported, and empowered.
