The Faculty of Arts has been working with colleagues from Health and Safety, Estates, Space Planning and Timetabling and HR to create standard operating procedures (SOP) and risk assessments (RAs) for the three buildings that it occupies. The Faculty has submitted SOPs for the buildings and each department or unit and RAs for the buildings, locally timetabled teaching spaces and specific teaching activities. Links to the relevant documents appear below.
In turn, the departments and other units have produced their own SOPs and RAs for specific departmental/unit standard operating procedures and activities and these are located on their own local websites.
A new Salto card access system has been installed on many of the University's buildings over the summer. In order to access the building, staff will need to activate their staff cards on the building entrance Salto reader on their first visit to the campus. This link explains what needs to be done to activate your staff card.
There are three sections to the building documents:
(1) Humanities Building and Extension - this includes the Faculty Hub, Department of Classics and Ancient History, Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies, Department of History and School of Modern Languages. In addition, as this is a shared building, the standard operating procedures for this building also include the SEM Department of Psychology, Warwick Retail's Humanities Café.
(2) Ramphal Building - this includes the Faculty PGR spaces, the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance, Humanities Research Centre, Department of History - Centre for the History of Medicine, School of Cross-faculty Studies (Global Sustainable Development, Liberal Arts and iGSD).
(3) Millburn House - this includes the Department of Film & Television Studies and the School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures (CCMPS, History of Art, Theatre & Performance Studies and the Warwick Writing Programme).
The standard operating procedure documents will be updated as new information comes in and other information is updated. An FAQ will be developed to link to the main University information pages and to provide a quick and accessible summary to the information in the building SOPs.
