There are many places to find careers advice, but a great place to start is Student Opportunity: Careers.

The website is an excellent place to start your career search. The site is designed to respond to your individual needs and situation as you click through the links.

Simply sign in with your university username and password under myAdvantage and you will be able to:

  • Book online for careers events and activities
  • Register for careers skills workshops
  • Register for employer presentations
  • Receive emails of the latest graduate jobs

Log on to:

  • Search for current vacancies and careers opportunities (using detailed searches by location, company, opportunity type, job sector, etc.)
  • View your History of Careers appointments and access notes made by the adviser you saw
  • Register your career interests to receive tailored information about events, vacancies and other opportunities

Visit the team

Located on the Ground Floor of University House, the Student Opportunity helpdesk is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm.

Here you will also find information about the full range of graduate career areas. There are pamphlets, reference files, videos and books about different subjects related to career planning and choosing an occupation. There is also information about postgraduate study, time out activities and voluntary work.
