Teaching Fellow

Biography

I started working at the University of Warwick in September 2024. Prior to this, I gained experience teaching or carrying out research at Bader College (Queen’s University), the University of East Anglia, the University of Leeds, Pembroke College (University of Oxford), Lancaster University, and the Institute of Development Studies. In addition to my role at Warwick, I work as a lecturer at University College London.

I hold a PhD in Geography and an MRes in Human Geography from Lancaster University, where I completed my studies within the Lancaster Environment Centre back in 2021. I also hold an MSc in Climate Change and Development from the University of Sussex.

Presently, I co-chair the Development Geographies Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with Institute of British Geographers). I am also Associate Editor of Visual Content for the Journal of Latin American Geography.

Teaching

In 2024-25, I will be teaching on the following modules:

Research

I’m really interested in the political and economic aspects of sustainability transitions. Specifically, I have experience researching the political ecology of market-based environmental policies in both the UK and Colombia.

My areas of interest include: state theory, environmental governance, political economy, discourse analysis, economic geography, and critical pedagogy.
