The School for Cross-faculty Studies is excited to announce the agreement of a partnership with IEMA for all of our undergraduate courses in Global Sustainable Development. IEMA (the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment) is the global professional body for individuals and organisations working, studying or interested in the environment and sustainability. Accreditation by IEMA, confirms that our students receive a professionally recognised level of knowledge, skills and tools for working in sustainability practice.

All undergraduate students of GSD will receive a free student membership and upon completion of the course, will qualify for Graduate Membership of IEMA and the ability to use the GradIEMA title. Graduate members can “Fast track” to Practitioner Membership (PIEMA) following successful completion of a work-based assessment of competence; notably, our recent graduate Maddie Booth, is a proud PIEMA!

With over 18,500 members worldwide, IEMA are the professional organisation at the centre of the sustainability agenda, connecting business and individuals across industries, sectors and borders and we look forward to a developing this partnership further in the coming years.
