The GSD Dissemination Event showcases GSD Finalists' research projects as part of their Dissertation module. Join us to hear from the next generation of Sustainable Development innovators!

You may contribute to the success of the event: ask speakers any questions you may have, questions are not assessed and give our finalists an opportunity to reflect on their project in preparation for their Dissertation submission.

Finalists may access guidance on their 'Dissemination' assessment on the GD307 moodle.

GSD students may visit this page to learn more about what to expect from the GSD Dissemination event.

Welcome

10:45-11AM, Ramphal Foyer

This session is an opportunity for GSD Finalists and other attendees to network. We have invited external stakeholders, including GSD Alumni and GSD staff as well as Warwick colleagues from our partner departments. Make the most of the numerous breaks throughout the day to make connections with like-minded people.

Since graduating from Warwick in 2023, I’ve been exploring the food systems space that piqued my interest during my degree. In my current role, I support the development of the Suffolk Food Partnership, working with local stakeholders towards a more sustainable and resilient food system. Prior to this, I worked as a Research Officer for Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming and during my final years at Warwick, I worked at Coventry City Council in their Climate Change and Sustainability Team

We look forward to welcoming back some of our GSD graduates. People with a GSD degree work in a wide range of sectors and in Term 2 we asked GSD current students which career trajectories they were curious about. Based on this survey, we selected 4 Alumni. They are eager to meet current students throughout the day and we'll hear from them at the final roundtable. See short bios

Since graduating in 2020, I've spent over 4 years in the Civil Service, delivering major projects at the Ministry of Justice. Committed to continuous development, I'm currently undertaking a Level 7 Senior Leadership Apprenticeship at Henley Business School. I am Co-Chair of a cross-government network driving inclusive outcomes through project delivery, and I'm also a trustee of a children and young people's mental health charity.

Since graduating from Warwick in 2021, I’ve been helping organisations turn sustainability goals into action. I began with a Scope 3 carbon inventory for the university and a community energy project in Coventry, and now work in sustainability consulting—guiding corporates and public bodies through emissions measurement, ESG disclosure, and decarbonisation strategy. The field is increasingly technical and data-focused, which means there’s a growing need for people who can bridge sustainability, regulation, and systems thinking.

I graduated in 2023, and went on to complete an MSc in Economics for Development at Oxford. After interning at several private sector companies—including a strategy consulting firm and several startups— under very different roles, I joined the Donor Partnerships team at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where I have been working since February.
