GCRF: Useful Links

This page has some links that we hope will be useful for researchers considering an application for GCRF funding. It is not intended to be exhaustive but it highlights some of the specificities of GCRF requirements. Warwick has a dedicated GCRF resource in Research and Impact Services: gcrf at warwick dot ac dot uk

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) regularly analyses the economic status of developing countries and publishes the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, a list of countries and territories eligible to receive Official Development Assistance (ODA). The Least Developed Countries (LDCs) as defined by the United Nations are in the first column; the other columns show all other ODA recipients according to their Gross National Income (GNI) per capita as reported by the World Bank. The next review of the DAC List will take place in 2020.

A Due Diligence questionnaire must be completed in addition to the collaboration agreement prior to the commencement of the project. An indication of UKRI Due Diligence requirements is provided here. To discuss the Due Diligence process at Warwick, please contact your Research and Impact Services team. UKRI have produced guidance on due diligence for research organisations.

The GCRF Strategic Advisory Group: Criteria for GCRF Funding details the core criteria that the GCRF Strategic Advisory Group is asked to apply when invited to comment on plans and proposals of the delivery partners. It is expected that the criteria should provide the framework for all GCRF calls. Core criteria are:

  • Problem and solutions focused
  • Research excellence
  • Likelihood of impact
  • Capacity building and partnership
