Welcome Week 2023 Programme

You will be able to search for events and personalise your Welcome Week timetable from mid-September. All the core activities offered by the Liberal Arts Department (below) will be automatically populated in your bespoke Welcome Week timetable.

You will use a system called Tabula to view your personalised course timetable. Your complete personalised academic timetable for Term 1 will be available on your Tabula page once you have registered for your modules and all your workshops/seminars have been assigned.

New Connections: Getting to Know Each Other

This is the first chance to get to meet the rest of the Liberal Arts cohort. This session will feature key information, you will be able to meet Liberal Arts staff, ask questions about any topics you might be curious about, and more.

Group work, Reflective Practice, Q&A

A taster of how seminars and workshops flow in Liberal Arts, followed by reflective practice. A chance to ask questions about the running of the course, and what to expect in your first year.

Meet your route departments (a great opportunity find out more about other departments that you may wish to study at). Search for events and sign up on your Welcome Week personalised timetable from mid-September.

Liberal Arts Film and Pizza Evening

Time to relax, watch a good film, and enjoy some pizza with the team and your new classmates. The film may be linked to the incoming recommended reading, but you do not have to have done the reading in order to attend.

Module Selection Breakfast

It's time to pick your modules for the year. Join us for breakfast as we guide and advise you on the different modules available. Our admin team will be on hand to process all the necessary forms for you, ready for the start of term.

Community-building lunch with staff and students, a chance to ask questions in a more informal setting.

Problem-Based Learning Induction

A session exploring the way in which we approach Problem-based Learning in the Liberal Arts Department, in order to familiarise students in preparation for Term 1.

Wandering Walk

The course team are leading an exploratory walk from main campus to Earlsdon, at a leisurely pace. All students at all levels welcome to join in. If you have any accessibility requirements, please email Kelsey (liberalarts@warwick.ac.uk) ahead of the event.
