TEAL Forum - Technology Enhanced Active Learning

The TEAL forums will run throughout the term to provide an opportunity for staff to seek support and to share experiences and ideas related to online and blended learning. This regular event will take place fortnightly on Wednesdays 1-2pm, see schedule below. There will be a termly TEAL Roundtable Discussion too.

Term 3

Weds. April 27th 1-2pm:

  • Join us online for the first TEAL Forum of the summer term
  • Guest speaker: Fraser Hill (Vevox). A demo of new features from the recent Vevox upgrade, including self-paced quizzes and Q&A tagging

  • Join us online for the fortnightly TEAL Forum
  • Find out about Digital Skills Capabilities & be one of the first to try out the Digital Skills Capability diagnostic tool

Term 2

Weds. January 19th 1-2pm:

  • TEAL Forum Round Table Discussion: Engaging with learning communities online.
    Join us for a round table conversation about engagement with the learning community in the online environment. We will be joined by Sara Hattersley (ADC), Roxanne Douglas (English), Gioia Panzarella (Global Sustainable Development) and Sarah Penny (IAS) who will share an insight into their research, experiences, and ideas around community engagement online. During this session we will be considering the potential opportunities and challenges that the online space provides us when developing online learning communities. This is very much an open discussion session focused on conversations around community engagement in teaching and learning online. You are invited to share any thoughts and questions with us via this padlet.

The TEAL Forum is a place to share experiences, ideas and seek support related to online learning. If you have something to share, are looking for inspiration or want to hear about activity from across the university then please do come along, all welcome.
