Designing Together

Our North Star
Explore: a shared language and knowledge around the use of design thinking
Experiment: with the design and development of a toolkit
Experience: a community of practice including colleagues from Warwick and beyond!
Elevate: Student experience design through the creation of new learner opportunities where colleagues to come together to share opportunities for collaboration
Why now?
This is a WIHEA funded project on 'Student Experience Focused Design' which aims to develop our understanding of staff and student design experiences for student experience and to support training and project needs.
As part of this project, we will create a community of practice including colleagues from Warwick and beyond to share ideas, experiences, and signature methodologies and co-create a common language around student-centered design.
Through the project we will also engage in a holistic evaluation strategy to measure the impact of the project and identify areas for future development.

Community of Practice
This project aims to bring staff and students with expertise in design thinking from across the HE sector together to develop a shared language and knowledge around learner experience design. This community of practice will support the design and development of a toolkit to support staff and students involved in gathering learner experiences and co-creating new learner opportunities. Through a series of events including a symposium and monthly meetings, we will provide an opportunity for colleagues to come together to share experiences, thoughts, and opportunities for collaboration.
Toolkit
As part of this project, we will develop a student experience design toolkit. This resource will provide support and inspiration around how to facilitate design thinking approaches for student engagement and will include case studies and examples of practice. If you would like to contribute to the development of this toolkit please fill this form
