The internet brings so much information – and misinformation- in easy reach. So how to ensure that the most useful resources are easily found? Here are some suggestions to help navigate the vast web of knowledge.
Get social with your bookmarking:
Still using bookmarks on your PC? Do you remember what is where? Increase your bookmarking powers by using a web based social bookmarking tool. You can collaborate with a team, collecting and annotating sources, search for records without having to open endless folders. These tools will make the bookmarking process relevant and helpful again.
Diigo, join existing groups or set up your own, save links for personal or public use and add your metadata and notes.

Find your tribe!
Create a personal learning network for your subject. Track down the hashtags for your subject area, locate and follow those who use the tags for example on Twitter, LinkedIn groups, G+ communities. Find and follow blogs on relevant topics, use RSS feeds to aggregate the content for discussion. Once you have found your sources, curate them for display using any of the following to suit your purpose.
