Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA)
Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA)
The Academy is the UK's first institutional academy of educators for staff and students engaged in the advancement of learning and teaching excellence.
Consisting of fellows and members, and led by our Academic Director, Jessica Humphreys, we are the collective institutional voice on learning and teaching and the academic student experience.
WIHEA Activities & Funding Opportunities
The Academy is actively involved in governance, development initiatives, networks and think tanks that set the tone and develop the direction of learning and teaching at Warwick.
We also deliver and host a range of events and activities, as well as provide funding opportunities.
"Working through governance and leadership roles within our various departments, projects, events and other activities, WIHEA seeks to develop, recognise and embed outstanding academic practices that enhance student opportunities to ‘learn beyond boundaries’. Cross-boundary learning, key to a Warwick education, enables students to challenge knowledge and engage with the world critically both during and beyond their studies."
Professor Gwen van der Velden, WIHEA Founding Academic Director (2016-2020)
