On 17 June 2019, WIHEA and the Centre for Teacher Education jointly hosted the Inaugural Lecture of Professor Des Hewitt to celebrate his recent appointment as Professor.
“Education and the Common Good: University and School transformation through teacher education.”
Education for the Common Good of society lay at the heart of Professor Des Hewitt’s inaugural Professorial lecture on Monday 17 June 2019 at the Oculus, University of Warwick.
Education is a transformative force from the early years through Schools, Colleges, Universities and on into adult life. The education of teachers from initial qualification to life-long learning, provides an opportunity for everyone working with learners to come together to collaborate, to research and develop a good inclusive education based on strong values and principles. Working together, Schools and Universities can transform education for the Common Good. We are stronger together!
