WIHEA External Collaboration Fund Proposal Form

The Project Lead must be a WIHEA Staff Fellow for a project proposal to be considered.  

Project Co-lead

The Project Co-lead must be a member of Staff from another Higher Education Institution (HEI).

Please provide below a very short summary (approx 100 words) of your project, which will be used to describe this project in future internal and external communication materials.


PROJECT PLAN:

Please note that the boxes below have a limit of 4,000 characters / approximately 800 words. So please ensure you limit your answers to each section accordingly.


Please provide an outline of your project by addressing the questions below:

  • What do you want your project to achieve?
  • How do you intend to achieve it?
  • How many students will your project reach and how? (Please include discipline/year of study, etc.)
  • In addition to the named Collaborators, which other Stakeholders will you involve and how?
  • How will your project enhance learning outcomes and optimise the student experience?

Developing Staff and Students:

  • What are the project roles/responsibilities of Staff and Students?
  • How will you support the development of students in the project team, what is the benefit to them?
  • How will this project provide a development opportunity for staff and how many staff will benefit?

Measurable Targets & Timescales:

Please describe below how you plan to evaluate your project on completion and list project milestones and measurable targets (outcomes or outputs).

 

Sustainability:

  • What will be the legacy of the project?
  • How can the outcomes of the project be embedded and sustained in the University?
  • How might outcomes be disseminated more widely outside of the collaborative partner institutions involved?

PROJECT BUDGET:


Please provide a detailed breakdown of all costs associated with the project, with estimated dates when expenditure will be incurred and by which institution.  Please provide clear sub totals where shown below for each collaborative partner that will receive funding to show the amount to be awarded directly to them.  Please also refer to any resource implications for your collaborative partners or own department.

Include the number of staff and students and the number of days that each will spend on the project.  Please note that the employment of Students’ must be arranged and paid for directly by the HEI at which they are studying, so ensure the rates of pay used in the calculations are correct to the method and institution by which they will be paid.

 


ETHICS APPROVAL:

It is the Project Lead(s) responsibility to ensure that any research activity related to the project is conducted in a manner consistent with established ethical standards and, where necessary, that ethical approval is obtained before activities commence.  Please consider this before submitting a proposal and ensure the planned schedule for the project above can commence and stay within the timeline shown, if ethical approval is required.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

It is important to note that for this proposal to be considered the following information and documents should be submitted with this proposal.

For each external collaborating HEI, please:

  • Attach below a copy of  the HEI's official letter head, confirming official address and also confirmation of the HEI's bank details, Company and VAT registration number.
  • Provide in the space below a named contact to liaise with to arrange the signing of a Collaboration Agreement and a Grant Agreement, please provide, name, role, department and email address. 

For Warwick, please provide in the space below:

  • The Project Lead's internal department cost code that you wish the funding for Warwick's costs to be transferred to.

  • The Project Lead (must be a WIHEA Staff Fellow) and their Head of Department/Service 
  • The Collaborative Partner Co-lead and their Head of Department/Service (signatures from each collaborative partner institutions should be provided if more than one institution collaborating) 

Please also attach below the HEI's official letter head, which must confirm official address and include the HEI's bank details, Company and VAT registration number as applicable for any collaborative HEI partner.
