Celebrating Cross-Institutional Collaboration: WIHEA x LITE Fellows Event

Fellows from the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) and the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) came together for a vibrant, engaging, and collaborative event that celebrated educational innovation, shared practice, and built new bridges across institutions.

Held at the Radcliffe Conference Centre at Warwick, with our LITE fellows joining us from Leeds, the event brought together academic and professional staff, student partners, and fellows for a rich day of dialogue, insight, and connection.

A Day of Shared Learning and Innovation

The programme featured engaging talks from WIHEA and LITE Fellows showcasing a wide range of impactful projects and opened discussions on where LITE and WIHEA can collaborate and grow their scope and influence in a range of areas. These collaborative conversations created space for knowledge exchange, mutual support, and the strengthening of a cross-institutional community of practice that focussed on teaching, learning, belonging and community.

Building Fellowship Beyond Borders

Roundtable discussions offered space for honest reflection and forward-thinking exploration, with fellows sharing experiences of what it means to lead change within their institutions. Common themes emerged around community, visibility, sustainability, and the vital role of student partnership.

Participants described the event as “energising”, “practical and inspiring”, and “a chance to make great connections across disciplines.”

Looking Ahead

The success of this collaboration marks a renewed commitment to continued dialogue between Warwick and Leeds, with plans to develop shared fellowships, reciprocal visits, and co-hosted events in the coming academic year.
