The Neurodiversity Network - launch event
Join us on Wednesday 19 March in the Teaching Grid for the launch of The Neurodiversity Network. The network will gather together staff and students with an interest in neurodiversity and aims to enhance understanding and support for neurodiverse individuals within the university community. The event will feature an introduction to the network and previous work of the WIHEA Neurodiversity learning circle. Attendees will learn about the network's ethos, which emphasizes lived experience, the social model of disability, and an affirmative approach to neurodiversity. The agenda will feature workshops on our core streams of work: Teaching and Learning priorities Research, and Support networks for staff and students. The event will provide ample opportunities for networking over lunch, where participants can discuss potential events, collaboration opportunities, and key issues in teaching and learning. This event is ideal for university staff who are committed to fostering an inclusive environment and supporting neurodiverse students and colleagues.
