Research Interests: Social movements (especially the #MeToo movement); Digital Media and Society; Feminist Studies; Platform Studies

Research Topic
My project is about how social media interact with social movements. Taking the #MeToo movement as a case study and concentrating on the Chinese social context, my research aims to explore the effects of social media platforms including their business model and algorithm on the development of #MeToo movement.
Background
I hold a BA in Journalism and Communication at Hubei University, and a MA in Communication and Media at the University of Leeds.
