Exchanges: The Interdisciplinary Research Journal News

Exchanges, the interdisciplinary journal based at the IAS, published by and for early career researchers, has seen a number of exciting recent events.

Exchanges Vol 8.3: The Spring 2021 volume of the journal marks the 18th issue of the journal to become available. In keeping with its tradition of bringing a range of new research and thought to its readers, this issue includes articles on Gandhi’s influences on Hop Hop, the #MeToo Movement, A.I. and the legal profession and consideration of counter-hedge fund activitism.

Call for Papers: An open call for papers for scholars around the globe remains in effect for the journal. Peer-reviewed research and review papers are invited from any discipline or academic tradition, dealing with subjects suitable for a wide-multidisciplinary audience. Additionally, shorter interviews, critical reflective and thought provoking essay pieces are also invited for consideration. While the journal continues to attract authors from around the globe, as the IAS’ resident journal, contributions from members of Warwick’s research community are especially warmly received.

Exchanges Vol 8.4 (Special Issue): The forthcoming special issue, produced in association with the Faculty of Art’s Then & Now student-led project and exhibition is, as of writing, close to being ready for publication too. This issue brings together reflections on the experiences of art-based students at Warwick since the university’s inceptions, along with various critiques of student-led research and the project itself.

The Exchanges Discourse: The companion podcast series, The Exchanges Discourse continues to develop new episodes. In recent weeks four new episodes have been launched, with a number of others in pre-production.

Podcast episodes are also available on Spotify, RadioPublic, and Apple Podcasts

To suggest guests, topics or themes for future episodes, or to discuss any and all matters relating to the journal, contact the Editor-in-Chief, Dr Gareth J Johnson at: exchangesjournal@warwick.ac.uk.
