We are a collaborative group of ten current Warwick MA in English and MA in Writing students, passionate about promoting Young Adult (shortened to YA) writing by young adults. YA writing is fictional writing of any genre written specifically for the 13-21 age group. Our project consists of three main elements: publising our own writing, promoting YA writing in schools, and in literary festivals.

We are currently in the process of creating and printing an anthology of ten YA novel extracts and short stories, each between 3000 and 5000 words in length, written by students on the 2012/13 Warwick MA in English and MA in Writing. We are liasing with Bethnal Green Academy in East London, and hope to work with a local secondary school in Coventry, to put on a week's worth of writing workshops in July. These workshops aim to empower young people to express themselves through writing. We also intend to attend Ely and Wells literary festivals to promote our YA anthology and YA literature.
