As a new theatre company with a focus on reinventing and adapting the work Shakespeare, we, Partners Rapt, are embarking on second production with the support of IATL. An immersive, dystopic Macbeth set in a twisted 1950s inflected suburbia. This new approach to one of Shakespeare’s darkest tragedies is an attempt to explore the domesticity and intimacy found in the relationships between the Scottish military hierarchy instead of the traditional focus on land, nobility and military control.
