A Devised Promenade

image_4.jpg

This project looked to engaged an established Chinese ensemble in devising an origional play. The main aim for this project was to investigate how to devise a piece with an ensemble of actors and how to stimulate creativity to do so.

Devising the script centred around working closely with the actors and involved a number of different techniques for working on performances such as workshopping and story-telling improvisation.

The project looked to transcent traditional spatial arrangements by providing a 360 degree experience for the audience and allowing them to touch and sit within the set.

Please see the project report for further information about 'A Devised Promenade'.

The final performance was held on Saturday 12th May 2012 in the CAPITAL Studio, Millburn House, University of Warwick.
