Ria Dunkley

Ria was a Research Fellow at IATL, where she led work on the Education for Sustainability research programme, funded through the Monash-Warwick alliance (read her (PDF Document) report). She also held a research post at the centre for Business, Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS), at Cardiff University, where her research centred on cultural change for sustainability and where she began working full time in November 2013. Ria's academic interests include the role of the arts, cultural and heritage sectors in sustainable development and Education for Sustainability, within both formal and informal contexts. She is passionate about emergent research approaches and building community resilience, as a vehicle for sustainable development. Previously, Ria has led research projects for sustainability education and training programmes, funded by the Department for Education and the European Social Fund, at the leading Environmental Education charity, the Eden Project. Prior to this she held a lectureship at Cardiff School of Management, where she ran tourism development, arts and cultural studies and research methods programmes.
