Gillian joined IATL in June 2022 as Student Research Support Officer. Gillian’s role supports and promotes student research across the university. Their primary role for 2022-23 is the facilitation the joint the World Congress on Undergraduate Research (WorldCUR) and British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) which the University of Warwick is hosting in April 2023. WorldCUR-BCUR 2023 is an exciting opportunity for hundreds of students from the UK and around the world to share and showcase their research. Gillian has worked at the University of Warwick since 2017 supporting students in Disability Services and Student Funding roles. They are passionate about removing barriers to access and increasing diversity in education. These interests make them a strong advocate for alternative and multisensory forms of presentation.
