Postgraduate Award (PGA) in Interdisciplinary Pedagogy

Would you like to develop your practice in supporting interdisciplinary teaching and learning?

Are you passionate about the opportunities for multi- , inter-, trans- disciplinary learning but need some space and time to craft them? If so, the PGA in Interdisciplinary PedagogyLink opens in a new window is the right fit for you!

This is a course for Warwick staff and PGRs who are interested in developing an understanding of how to apply interdisciplinary pedagogy to the context in which they work. The PGA runs annually from October - July.

Contribute to an IATL Module

Would you like to gain some experience in multi-, inter-, trans- disciplinary pedagogies?

Are you eager to teach students from all Faculties, expanding the reach of your teaching and research?

IATL's modules are collaborative, and feature a range of voices from our academic community and beyond, in order to achieve their aim of facilitating learning beyond disciplines. We are always looking for new Guest Speakers on all of our modules to provide important both disciplinary and multi- , inter-, trans- disciplinary professional insights into the learning environment.

Co-Create Assessment Documentation

If you are interested in exploring how to incorporate co-creation within your module's assessment programme, Dr Heather Meyer (IATL Director of Studies) shares some reflections on this along with former IATL Co-Creation Officer, Pula Prakash. They reflect on their experiences working together to co-create Assignment Briefs and Interdisciplinary Marking Criteria schemes for two IATL modules 'Forms of Identity' and 'Global Connections'.

Co-creating Assessment documentation is an underexplored, yet important intervention to make assessment more inclusive, more transparent and more accessible to our students. Check this out if you want some ideas.

Engage with the WIHEA/IATL Interdisciplinary Staff Hub

Are you interested in interdisciplinary pedagogies? Would you like to infuse your modules and courses with interdisciplinary learning opportunities?

Envisioned by the WIHEA Learning Circle, the Staff Hub aims to provide a central platform for Warwick teaching staff and fellows to access guidance and support to incorporate interdisciplinarity within their pedagogy.

It offers practical examples within case studies, opportunities to network and have discussions with colleagues, and provides resources for further developing interdisciplinarity at Warwick.

IAS/IATL Early Career Teaching Fellowship

Are you approaching the end of your PhD programme?

Are you eager to grow as an academic and an innovative teacher?

The Early Career Teaching Fellowship schemeLink opens in a new window, jointly administered by IATL and IAS, is tailored for you. As an ECTF you will join the dynamic communities of IAS and IATL, receiving support to advance your teaching and research career. This includes designing non-modular pedagogic activities, crafting research publications, presenting at conferences, and preparing job applications and postdoctoral fellowship/grant proposals.
