.Travelling to the University of Warwick
As you know from our website and from your interview, the MIBTP programme involves both online and in-person training. Your induction week, and two weeks of training in October, will take place in-person at the University of Warwick. Students who will be based at Aston, Birmingham, Coventry, Harper Adams, or Leicester will need to be able to travel to Warwick to be present at these sessions. Please see our Locations pageLink opens in a new window for information regarding travel between universities and nearby amenities.
In recognition of the need for extra travel in year 1, MIBTP should be providing you with an uplift to your stipend to offset unusual costs. The details on the exact figure for this is under review and will be confirmed with you as soon as possible.
Parking at the University of Warwick
Once you have enrolled at Warwick, you will be registered as a Life Sciences PhD student, which means that you will be eligible to use the car parks on the Gibbet Hill campus as well as the other car parks across the university for a fee (currently £3.50 per day, to the maximum amount of £10.50 per week):- In order to do this, you need to set up autopay and add your car details (via manage vehicles) on the car parking portal. The cost is taken from your card automatically after each visit.
