New paper in Computers and Geotechnics

The paper titled "Effects of Ground Motion Characteristics on Liquefaction Response of Earth Dams Using a Non-Darcy Hydro-Mechanical Model" has been accepted for publication in Computers and Geotechnics. The study is co-authored by Farhoud Kalateh, Farideh Hosseinejad, Milad Kheiry, and Mohammad Rezania. This collaborative research was led by Dr. Kalateh from the University of Tabriz, who served as an academic visitor in Dr. Rezania's lab in 2024.

Key findings from MINRESCUE published in Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering

Wonderful news that our paper entitled "The mineralogical composition and mechanical characteristics of selected European coal mining wastes and their experimental correlation" has been published in ASCE's Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering (a globally top journal in the geotechnics field). This work is from Dr Liem Vo (a talented and dedicated postdoctoral Research Associate)'s meticulous work on the MINRESCUE project. The extensive study on seven different coal mining waste samples were conducted in collaboration with Prof. Stephen Hillier from The James Hutton Institute.
