New paper in Journal of Acta Geotechnica

The paper entitled "Double image stress point bounding surface model for monotonic and cyclic loading on anisotropic clays" by Hesam Dejaloud and Mohammad Rezania has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Acta Geotechnica (top journal in geotechnical engineering field). In this paper a novel methodology, namely DISP method, is introduced to capture soil's nonlinear behaviour inside the yield surface which can also capture the cyclic soil responses very accurately.

SJTU-Warwick Joint Seed Fund

Thanks to successful SJTU-Warwick Joint Seed Fund, the group started an adventurous joint research project with Shanghai Key Laboratory for Digital Maintenance of Buildings and Infrastructure at SJTU, on the development of new phosphate-based cement from coal tailing and optimizing of its mixes’ rheology for three-dimension printing. New paper in Landslides Journal

The paper entitled "Predictive model of regional coseismic landslides’ permanent displacement considering uncertainty" has been accepted for publication in the prestigious Landslides Journal. This was the result of a collaborative research by fellow scientists at the Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering, of Southwest Jiaotong University, China.

Joint TC304-TC309 Workshop in Sydney on 'Risk Assessment and Machine Learning in Geotechnical Engineering'

Dr Rezania and and Prof. Jinsong Huang of Newcastle University in Australia, organised and ran the joint ISSMGE TC304-TC309 Pre-conference Workshop on 'Risk Assessment and Machine Learning in Geotechnical Engineering' during the ICSMGE 2022 Conference in Sydney (May 2022). The workshop was a great success, well over 200 online and in-person participants attended the hybrid session.
