PGR Teacher Conference - Friday 27th June
Dear PGR colleagues,
Warwick Postgraduate Teaching Community is excited to announce the first PGR Teacher Conference, to be held at Scarman House on Friday 27th June! The conference theme is Evolving Experiences in Postgraduate Teaching: Navigating Changing Landscapes, Practices, and Technologies which acknowledges some of the challenges faced by PGR teachers, but also celebrates the unique space in which they operate as educators.
The call for abstracts is open now and closes on Monday 12th May. We would love to hear from PGRs who teach across the institution, and we welcome suggestions from speakers across a range of formats (poster, presentation, workshop etc) in relation to our five subthemes:
- Positionality and Teacher Identity
- The Evolution of the GTA
- Technological Shifts in Teaching
- Cross-Cultural and International Perspectives
- Balancing Wellbeing and Professional Growth
There will also be the opportunity to work up any conference submission into a written piece for the Journal of PGR Pedagogic Practice, due for publication in Autumn 2025.
Please visit our conference page for more information and the call for abstracts form: PGR Teacher Conference. General registration for delegates will open on Monday 28th April.
We hope you’ll be interested in submitting something to the call, as well as joining us on the day!
Best wishes,
Sara (on behalf of WPTC)
