WCPM Seminar: Katarzyna Macieszczak (Warwick)A205B, School of EngineeringTitle: Quantum Jump Monte Carlo: principles, challenges, and perspectives Abstract: In this talk, I will describe the quantum jump Monte Carlo algorithm [1,2] for simulating Markovian open quantum dynamics. I will explain its main advantages and challenges faced when investigating many-body systems. I will discuss how those are addressed by recent developments [3,4], which exploit the intrinsic flexibility of the algorithm stemming from the quantum description. [1] R. Dum, et al., Phys. Rev.
