Upcoming Event: HetSys Industry Study Group - 12 - 14 December 2022

HetSys is pleased to announce that it will be running a third Industry Study Group, in partnership with the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN).

Mathematical Science Study Groups with industry have been running for over fifty years and, having started with pioneering work in the UK in the 1960s, these groups now take place all over the world in a huge variety of shapes and sizes. They have been hugely successful in solving problems and providing insight for various organisations. Building on the successful sessions of 2017, 2019, virutally in 2020 and in Sprint 2022. HetSys and KTN are delighted to host this event for a multidisciplinary research audience of HetSys PhD students and their supervisors, academics and associated colleagues between the 12 - 14 December, on campus at Radcliffe House.

Upcoming Event: HetSys-KTN Industry Engagement Day - 12 September

The HetSys CDT has a range of existing project partnersLink opens in a new window who collaborate with its academics and co-fund PhD research projects, and is keen to grow this pool further. Innovate UK KTN and HetSys are organising an Industry Day which will take place in two stages. The first stage will be online event on 12th September, 1-4pm where an overview of the CDT and its research capabilities will take place. This will be followed by an in-person event on the Warwick Campus on 22nd September to link industry partners with potential academic collaborators and develop project ideas.

The online event aims to create further awareness of the state-of-the-art multiscale modelling research capabilities at Warwick and look at the various ways that Industry partners could engage with HetSys, ranging from Study Groups though to co-funded and co-supervised PhD projects.

The in-person event will provide an opportunity for discussion with potential academic partners, and opportunities to co-create and develop PhD projects either for October 2023 start, or October 2024.
