Reflections on the APS Global Physics Summit March 2025

The American Physical Society's Global Physics Summit 2025, held in Anaheim in March, was a vibrant and inspiring event that brought together over 15,000 physicists, researchers, and students from around the world. The scale, energy, and calibre of discussions at this year’s summit underscored the dynamic progress being made across the field of physics. We were proud to see the HetSys CDT so strongly represented.

Presentation & Interview Skills Workshop: Building Confidence and Communication Excellence

On Monday, 13th May, we were delighted to host an in-person Presentation & Interview Skills Workshop at Scarman, led by expert trainer Simon Cain from Westbourne Training & Consulting. With over 25 years of experience supporting researchers and professionals across academia and industry, Simon delivered two highly interactive sessions focused on effective communication and self-presentation.

EPSRC Leadership Visits HetSys CDT to Engage with PhD Researchers

On April 8th, 2025, we had the honour of welcoming Professor Charlotte Deane, Executive Chair of EPSRC, and Deputy Chair Jon Rowe to the Centre for Doctoral Training in Modelling of Heterogeneous Systems (HetSys) at the University of Warwick.
