About me:
I did my undergraduate degree I did an intergrated masters (MSci) at Loughborough University in Computer Science and Mathematics. My masters project focused on Spanner logic a way of searching through text using a logical statement with existential and universal quantifiers.
My project is in uncertainty quantification of long-timescales evolution in precipitation-strengthened alloys. In my project, I will study the ageing process in precipitation-hardened alloys using kinetic Monte Carlo based on atomic interaction models fitted to electronic structure calculations. In particular I am interested in the robustness of predicted evolution pathways, as small errors in predicted barriers can have exponential consequences on rates.
