About Me
I'm a PhD student studying under the HetSys CDT program, funded by the EPSRC. My area of research concerns the use of atomistic modelling techniques in order to study the crystal structures of a variety of substances. In particular, I am employing the use of the nested sampling algorithm in order to determine the thermodynamic properties of simple organic molecules based on hard-sphere potentials. This required the development of a piece of novel code, parts of which are on my GitHub repository.
I have a background in Chemistry (MChem), but I'm also learned in programming as well, particularly Python, and have learnt Fortran as well.
Outside of academia, hobbies include chess as well as 5-a-side football and bouldering.
