PhD Title: Hopping through the interfaces: a multiscale chemo-mechanic model for energy materials
PhD Supervisor: Lukasz Figiel, Bora Karasulu
About me
I did my undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Loughborough University, graduating with a first class MChem in 2022. My passion for energy materials, and in particular battery technology, started while writing a literature review comparing the suitability of lithium-ion batteries and hydrogen fuel cells for the transport sector in my third year. For my master's project, I then conducted a computational investigation of a novel solid-state electrolyte under the supervision of Pooja Goddard.
My PhD project focuses on the development of a multi-scale model for Li-ion transport across the interfaces of solid-state batteries, supervised by Lukasz Figiel and Bora Karasulu.
More information about my background and research path can be found in this #FaradayPathway piece by the Faraday Institution.
