Unallocated Teaching

Modules that are still in need of TAs:
  • MA4J3 Graph Theory
  • MA4M2 Mathematics of Inverse Problems
  • MA4N4 Transport Processes in Mathematical Biology
Each of these would have one class per week, and no marking.
Consolidation.
  • MA2K3 Consolidation (2nd year) [4 3 TAs required]
    • Recaps first-year material
    • A TA would assist in a 2-hour class, during which students would work through material from a workbook, including discussion in groups
    • Marking for roughly 10-15 students
    • (this version of the module is new this year, and the final details are still being determined)
  • MA397 Consolidation (3rd year)
    • Recaps material from Year 1 and Year 2
    • A TA meets with a student individually for 1 hour per week to go through the course material
    • Marking of an assignment for your student, most weeks
    • A TA may support multiple students (meeting with each one individually)
    • The more TAs we have, the more students we can offer the module to.
Supervisions
There are several supervision groups still available. At latest count:
  • 2 group of Maths students
  • 0 groups of joint-degree students
Overflow rooms
We are also looking for people to provide some support for the first-year overflow rooms. These will run through the first three weeks of term, and consist of a TA setting up the livestream in the overflow room, and shutting it down at the end of the lecture. You are welcome to spend the rest of the lecture how you wish, but should be available should there be any connection problems.
[2 volunteers so far, more are welcome]
Also, overflow rooms will be used for some of the talks in Welcome Week, and need support to manage the livestream.
If you are interested in helping with any of the above, please contact Mark Cummings (M.S.Cummings@warwick.ac.uk)
