General information
The University’s Disability Services is part of the central Wellbeing and Student Support service, which is based inside Senate House on the centre of campus – between the Faculty of Arts Building and Warwick Arts Centre.
The Disability Team provides advice, information and support to disabled students and those staff supporting them, helping students to learn effectively.
There is more information about Disability Services and the support they can offer on their website.

What support is available?
There are several ways in which Disability Services can help and a good starting point is their website. You can find the range of inclusive services and adjustments available, as well as more details about specific support services for you and your individual needsLink opens in a new window.
Some of our students have previously found the following to be particularly useful:
- Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)Link opens in a new window, which is available to help cover the study-related costs you have because of a mental health problem, long-term illness or any other disability. The type of support and how much you get depends on your individual needs – not your household income.
- Screenings for Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs)Link opens in a new window –such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and attention deficit disorder – and support to cover the costs of these screenings.
- Practical support for lectures such as support with notetaking, which might include having someone specifically to take notes for you. Disability Services will fund notetakers for students who cannot take notes in lectures, and this is separate to DSA. You can access this by contacting a disability advisor directly – it's worth noting that Disability Services are happy to employ fellow students for this role, as they can often struggle to find specialist notetakers for subjects such as Maths.
