Feb 2015 Agelos Georgakopoulos awarded ERC Starting Grant
Agelos Georgakopoulos has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant for a project entitled "Random Graph Geometry and Convergence".
Agelos studies infinite graphs, and his work often involves interactions with other fields, including probability, geometry and topology.
This project builds on such interactions, and the topics it aims to contribute to include discrete random geometry, random walks on graphs and groups, and analysis on fractals. These topics are interlinked by common methodological tools stemming from discrete potential theory.
The award will fund 2 Postdoc positions and 1 PhD student.
