May 2016 Massive L-function and Modular Forms Database launched
On May 10th 2016, a massive database of mathematical objects including elliptic curves, modular forms and L-functions was launched. It is both a research tool and an educational resource. See http://www.lmfdb.org/ for the database, http://www.lmfdb.org/news for its newpage, or read the Warwick press release here and the Bristol press release here. John Cremona is PI on the £2.2M EPSRC Programme Grant (joint with Bristol) leading the project in the UK. Seventy mathematicians in 12 countries have been involved in the LMFDB project.
