June 2016 Lorenzo Pellis awarded Sir Henry Dale Fellowship
Dr Lorenzo Pellis has been awarded a Sir Henry Dale Fellowship, funded by the Royal Society and the Wellcome Trust.
This scheme is for outstanding post-doctoral scientists wishing to build their independent research career addressing an important biomedical question. It supports research ranging from the molecules and cells vital to life and their role in the global spread of disease, to clinical and public health research seeking to improve the quality of healthcare.
Lorenzo's project, "Epidemiological and evolutionary consequences of coinfection: a multi-scale modelling approach" aims to develop a novel modelling framework and analytical tools to study the within-host interactions of multiple pathogens or multiple strains of the same pathogens, and the epidemiological repercussions this has at the population scale.
