Professor Jeremy Gray has been awarded the Otto Neugebauer Prize of the European Mathematical Society at their congress (7ECM) in Berlin.

The Otto Neugebauer Prize is awarded for a highly influential article or book in the field of history of mathematics that enhances our understanding of either the development of mathematics or a particular mathematical subject in any period and in any geographical region.
