Mathematics at Warwick has been ranked 10th amongst Mathematics departments in the world by the Academic Ranking of World Universities (http://www.shanghairanking.com/Shanghairanking-Subject-Rankings/mathematics.html), improving its position by one place since 2018. ARWU uses six objective indicators to rank world universities, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals and the number of articles published in journals of Nature and Science. More than 1800 universities are actually ranked by ARWU every year and the best 1000 are published.
