October 2020: Congratulations to our recent graduates

Sam Charles – G100 Finalist

I am very honoured to have won this prize and would like to thank the Mathematics institute for choosing me. The past 3 years at Warwick have been some of the best years of my life and I shall always cherish the memories made here. This year I am studying for a MAST in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge and in future plan on doing a PhD, potentially at Warwick

Lauren Branney – G100 Finalist

I have thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years studying Maths at Warwick and thank you to all the friends, family and fantastic staff in the department who have supported me along the way!

Kajal Malhotra – G100 Finalist

I am truly honoured to receive this prize. It comes as such a surprise, and I am thrilled for this achievement!

 Sophie Peggs – G103 Year 3

I am extremely grateful and honoured to receive the MMath 3rd Year Award for 2020. I have really enjoyed my last 3 years and have definitely encountered plenty of challenging but interesting problems. I’m looking forward to completing my degree next year and whatever comes next.

Gianni Prenol – G103 Year 3

The Warwick mathematics degree has been a rewarding and challenging experience and I'm really looking forward to my final year. The program is certainly worth the trip over the Atlantic!

Sacha Grabner – G103 Year 3

I would like to thank Professor Greenlees and the Examination Board for the award, I am very honoured to receive it. Thank you also to all the staff of the mathematics department; for all the preparations and all of the extra arrangements they made to ensure that this year's exams proceeded smoothly as possible, especially considering the difficult circumstances.

Sam Pattison – G103 Finalist

I would mainly just like to thank both my family for their support throughout my time at Warwick, especially the last exam period, and my tutor David Mond. David was a great tutor and was one of the first people who helped me to engage with the maths in a way which went beyond just doing what was required at school or university. He also encouraged me to apply to do a PhD in the subject and gave me great advice and support throughout this process.

 Andy Pollock - G103 Finalist

I'm very grateful for this acknowledgement. Alongside captaining the Chess 5-a-side football team to the league title and winning the intramural 11-a-side treble with Maths and Stats, this award caps off a memorable final year at Warwick.

Chloe Postel-Vinay – G103 Finalist

I feel very grateful to the Warwick Mathematics Institute and all of its staff, for the opportunity it has provided me to study this beautiful subject, and to strive alongside many other young, generous, talented people
