Engun Bayasgalan

Hi! I am Engun, a first-year PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Warwick, under the supervision of Dr Sean Eberhard. I completed my MMath degree in Mathematics here at Warwick in 2024.

My research interests are in probabilistic and asymptotic group theory, with a current focus on expansion phenomena and spectral gaps. More broadly, I am interested in how probabilistic and combinatorial methods can be used to understand the large-scale behaviour of groups. I also have interests in combinatorics, representation theory, abstract harmonic analysis (Fourier analysis), and other areas of group theory.
