About Me
I am a first year PhD student focusing on epidemiology under the supervision of Dr Louise Dyson and Professor Matt Keeling.
I have a particular interest in modelling the interactions between diseases as well as pandemic planning and disease intervention.
Background:
I completed my MMath here at Warwick in 2024 with my research project exploring the impact of cross-border migration on attempts to eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis. After I graduated I received a grant from the university to continue this work as a research assistant within the Statistics department under the supervision of Dr Emma Davis. In this role, I worked with collaborators in Togo to model how different types of migration could impact elimination efforts, with a particular focus on nomadic populations.
Conferences/Talks:
-
Poster presentation: “The impact of cross-border migration on lymphatic filariasis elimination efforts.” American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Annual Meeting, New Orleans, USA. (2024)
-
Oral presentation: “Effects of border migration on LF programmes.” SBIDER Neglected Tropical Disease modelling workshop, with members of the Bangladesh Filariasis Elimination Programme. (2024)
Grants:
EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account, University of Warwick. “Translating a human migration model of LF transmission to the specific cases of the Thailand-Myanmar border and the Savanes Region of Togo.” PI: Dr Emma Davis.
